Hi all,
recently noticed that ksnapshot does not remember "rectangular region" selection of the last screenshot when it's not run under KDE. Happens under cinnamon and under MATE. When run in a KDE session, the same instance of ksnapshot would remember the last selection, and reuse it for the next snapshot. This is pretty helpful and timesaving when doing multiple snapshots consecutively of the same region. Can anybody provide a pointer what might cause this, or if some necessary KDE service might not be running? FWIW, this is under RHEL 7.2 with KDE 4 |

Which exact KDE release and KSnapshot version are you using?
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Sorry for omitting that, posted from another box.

Hmmm, after updating to newer KDE package this seems to be working again, although ksnapshot version is the same.
For completeness sake, this is the repo that I've used: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/rdieter/kde4/
