Just updated to Kubuntu 16.04 with KDE 5.5.5. No more audio channel switching in the Audio/Volume widget or systray icon. :'( It was there in previous plasma versions and it was so useful. Now I have to revert back to opening up system settings fifty times a day. Any reason why that was axed?

'No more audio channel switching in the Audio/Volume widget or systray icon'
Same as the 'Select Master Channel' ?

Are you using plasma-pa or kmix ?

With the kmix the 'Select Master Channel' is available:

Looking Ubuntu packages ' kubuntu-desktop': http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywo ... ection=all

After the Trusty the 'kubuntu-desktop' meta package is depending the plasma-pa.

The kmix is available: http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?keywo ... ection=all

The user can decide which application to use if both are installed -> System Tray Settings.

Rog131, you're a godsend. I didnt have Kmix installed. I didnt even think to check for it. Maybe its not default in Kubuntu anymore? Anyway, installed it and I have my audio switching back. Thanks!
