digikam BQM renames files even when the option is not chosen

Running digikam 5.1.0 on Fedora 24 Workstation.
I select a few pictures, go to 'Batch Queue Manager'. Que Settings -> Target -> Use original album; File Renaming -> Use original filenames; Control Panel -> Base Tools -> Add watermark. Make appropriate changes in 'Tools settings' and click 'Run'. Appropriate watermark is added but new files with _1 appended to the original filename are created. What is going wrong? How do I set it right?
