[SOLVED] Playing DVD

Tue Nov 15, 2016 1:47 am
I have searched and tried several programs, including VLC, CD Player, Xine Video Player, Play Movies, and cannot play any DVD. I tried to install "Dragon Player", but I get an error message, and can't install. Any ideas as what program I can use to play DVD's on KDE neon?

"libdvd-pkg" is needed to in order to play commercial or store type DVD with VLC. You can use Synaptic to install it.

The KDE Forums has a dedicated KDE Neon corner: viewforum.php?f=309

I don't use the Neon but by the https://neon.kde.org :
...using a stable Ubuntu long-term release as its core...

so maybe Ubuntu RestrictedFormats/PlayingDVDs: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Restr ... layingDVDs will help.
