Hi,

I have a couple of small issues after the latest update to KDE apps 16.12. They may be related, though I am not sure.

First, Dolphin has stopped playing mp3s through the information panel controls. The control is there, but clicking does nothing, although opening the file with other applications (Kaffeine, mplayer etc) will produce sound.

Second, in multimedia settings, there is only currently one playback device shown, whereas there were several before the update. There should be at least four devices there, the motherboard's sound card, an external Yamaha USB sound card, an external Harman-Kardon USB subwoofer, and the HDMI output of the graphics card. These were all there present before the update, and I could choose the priority of each card depending on the type of output. Now I only see the "Default" entry. The sound cards seem to be recognised and working correctly, the "Audio hardware setup" shows all of the cards and I have managed to get some sound by changing the default to each of the cards and playing something.

Anyway, my main gripe is Dolphin's playback, but I would also like to restore the list in KDE's sound settings, I found both extremely convenient. I have tried removing ./config/pulse, adding / removing gstreamer plugins, but to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated.

Which distro? The necessary bits and pieces for both of those issues are part of gst-plugins-good
