Is the option to add quick edit options to Spectacle much like flameshot going to be added. I like flameshot but it has issues in KDE. So need to search for an alternative. Spectacle is the king just missing this feature so I can point out things quickly and upload to imgur.

You could export the image to the editor.
Wishes/suggestions: - [spectacle] new feature: draw tool: https://marc.info/?l=kde-devel&m=150909263715305&w=2 - Bug 372464 - Simple editing/annotation features (drawing Arrows / Text / Highlighting) after doing screenshot : https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=372464 |

Yes which I am doing. However there is a slight issue. From spectacle I select Pinta. I then use a plugin for Pinta that uploads images to imgur once I have done some quick edits like squares and arrows. However the file is moved from spectacle to pinta as read only so then I have to go through the process of saving the file.
The idea is to make is to make spectacle efficient in this task. Just like flameshot and many windows and mac screenshot tool. Take screenshots make some quick edits like arrows and boxes for example then upload to imgur(or provider of choice.). I really don't need an image editor on my PC other than for this simple task which before using kde was always simple with flameshot. I also would rather use the tools built for the DE instead of using 3rd party. https://www.bettertechtips.com/linux/li ... shot-tool/ - Some Examples of what I am talking about. As you can see the top 3 have option to do small notation type edits to point out things in the screenshot. To me that is the purpose of many screenshots to point out where you are seeing the problem or for training scenarios in which you are building guides/how-to's. |

Ksnip is perfect. I will be testing this and maybe someone from the spectacle team can snag some code from ksnip to make this work in Spectacle. It looks like it has been a long time request. Also flameshot just fixed all the issues I had in KDE so looks like I could be moving back to that tool. Still I would rather use the tools made by the KDE team. |

I guess my question for the group is this where I need to request these features?

These forums are mainly for discussion and user support.
New features are usually proposed in the Brainstorm forum for garnering feedback and support for your idea before they get submitted to the devs.
