I've been having a problem with my speakers where they begin to distort when the volume on my laptop is above 50%. I'm running KDE on top of an Arch install.

I'm aware this might actually be an XY question so if you have any other solutions as to how I could get rid of this distortion, I'm all ears.
My thinking was, since 50% volume on Linux seems to be equal to 100% volume on my Windows install, I could just limit the max volume allowed on Linux to 50% of what it currently is.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
