Not sure of the correct forum to put this in?
Believe it is more a Flatpak issue, than perhaps a Handbrake issue? Long story short: Trying to install Handbrake in Opensuse Leap15.1 x64 (fully patched, etc), and whether I install via: Pacman (program starts, but only ever gets to an "empty" window ie a frame, but still see the desktop (didn't think to start in a terminal...) or Flatpak from Handbrake site which, if I start in a terminal, get message (and "canberra-gtk-module" IS installed) :
The reason for my post in a KDE forum, is that it works fine, if I change and log in to Gnome. Therefore, believe the issue may be with KDE?? Thanks. |

I doubt that it is due to Plasma, check if you have all dependencies installed correctly.
Running GTK-based apps should just work, you might just miss a package. If yes, this would be a packaging issue and should be reported to your distribution.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Which exact distribution and Plasma version do you use? Your logo says Ubuntu, but you talk about Leap...
FWIW: I just installed it in my setup, not using flatpak, works like a charm. So likely either a distribution or a Flatpak issue

Sorry, not sure how Ubuntu got in there - has never been my "prime OS" - is Leap 15.1 x64. And my prime UI is Plasma, but as I say, works in Gnome, but not Plasma.... Will try uninstalling/reinstalling again, and see how I go... (from Packman?) Thanks. |
