System sounds are ultra loud

Wed Feb 26, 2020 10:02 am
Hello everyone,,
I use Pisi Linux 1.0 KDE on an ASUS X552E notebook and system sounds are mostly ultra loud. It doesn't matter if the volume is turned down as my computer somehow forgets the settings.snaptube.cam/ syncnet.onl/telegram-web/ 9apps
What is my problem? Is this caused by the malice of PulseAudio? (FYI I use Phonon-GStreamer)

Change the default volumes in the System Settings -> Hardware -> Audio

My computer doesn't forget these settings, so maybe you modified it? Make sure you have the session settings to reload the last settings on login (System Settings -> Workspace -> Startup and Shutdown -> Desktop Session)

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
