Juk Lightweight Music Player Fails to Open Files

Hello everybody. Hope you are great.

My system specs
Using Lubuntu 19.10 on an AMD Athlon 5200+ X2 with 8gb ram
AMD Radeon hd 4650,
Audio card integrated Realtek ALC662 rev1


Juk is an incredibly light music player and I love it! I play all the files in the library without any problems, but I cannot open a specific file from the file manager or from the command line.
from the command line that I run

$ juk "file.mp3"

The juk media player just opens up without playing the file.

Is this about one specific mp3 file? Can you open this file with other players?

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
