Hello,

When no hdmi cable is plugged in, I still see many hdmi outputs in the volume control widget along with their sof names. Can they be hidden? The sound does play through correct device though.

Which exact Plasma version and distribution? The Pulseaudia stack has evolved quite a bit, so this information is essential (and it usually is for ALL questions on this forum...)

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

It does: the widget shows only the active devices. If there are still too many, disable the ones you don't need in System Settings -> Audio -> Advanced.

I don't remember exactly in which Plasma version this was changed, but should already be there in Plasma 5.17.x

No there are no option to disable devices anywhere in audio settings. Neither in KDE plasma 20, just checked in latest neon.

hm, so basically you only have one profile? Interesting, that is how it looks for me with all profiles enabled: https://i.imgur.com/01M1W7w.png

and the way to disable a profile: https://i.imgur.com/KOtkMKt.png

The same after disabling 2 of the three output profiles: https://i.imgur.com/6TXuDRp.png
and the corresponding advanced tab: https://i.imgur.com/mDpqVEO.png

Yes I have multiple devices in same profile. This is the default configuration I got after installing sof (https://github.com/thesofproject/sof-bin). Updating sof sometimes resets the profiles so I keep it as is.
