Kaffeine - problems with h.264 coding

Wed Feb 03, 2021 10:50 am
The problem concerns DVBT broadcasts and files recorded from these broadcasts (h.264). Kaffeine has been unable to reproduce the signal of some muxs (from USB tuner) for some time. Signal strength and quality are normal, but the picture is frozen (usually pixelated first frame) and only the sound is heard. The image from other muxs is correct. Moreover, the same goes for files correctly recorded with a stationary tuner from these muxs. VLC also does not read these files, while Mplayer does. Also VLC for Windows reads files properly.
I found that in VLC it's a problem with hardware-accelerated decoding. Setting VA-API option helped.

Can I change similar settings in Kaffeine? How to set libVLC arguments in Kaffeine to select proper output mode (as in VLC options)? The standard setting is:
Code: Select all
--no-video-title-show
