Kubuntu 20.10
The audio device profiles frequently default to inappropriate settings, and have to be re-selected each time: a Bluetooth headset always starts as High Fidelity Output, rather than headset unit, and a USB soundbar defaults to Analogue Input, rather than Analogue Output - it has no mic. I don't think I have anything installed other than the default setup. It works, but is a bit irritating to have to re-select them every time. Any help much appreciated. I have searched but can find no similar issue.... |

Do you save your session in the System Settings? That should help preventing this, I haven't had to reconfigure my audio devices in a while
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Thanks for your reply.
I do not save the session, but tried it - to be honest with little hope, since it won't remember the profile of a bluetooth device if I disconnect and reconnect in the same session anyway - and indeed, it does not help. I don't think the issue is with KDE Plasma at all, I think the profile priorities I can see in
Are wrong - maybe it is an unusual bluetooth device. I will search for how to amend these profiles. |
