no audio with brave-browser. All other software, Firefox browser and computer system audio are fine. Uninstalled and reinstalled brave - still no audio.

We don't make that browser, but did you check it uses the correct audio output channel on your computer? Right-click on the Volume icon in the System Tray, choose application and check if it is not muted or using the wrong output.

There's a constant sound cut-off in Brave browser. Has nothing to do with the system sound settings. In most cases you'll have to log out/in. Been going on for a good while now.
