sound stops for 1 second

if I click on the volume symbol during youtube or any audio/video is playing
then the sound stops for 1 second.

Can't reproduce this on my system, but without any indication which distribution or version of Plasma you use, this is hard to help in any way.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

well, I have:
KDE neon 5.25, Frameworks: 5.98, Qt: 5.15.6, kernel: 5.15.0-48-generic (64 bit)
6 x Intel core i5-8400, UHD Graphics 630, X11
