Kdenlive version: 22.12.0
Ubuntu version: 22.04

Fresh install from software manager. No composition or effects panel content, they are white. Looks like I'm missing a dependency or two. Ideas appreciated.

I got the same problem. I did not change anything - it just happend.

Hmm...so are you saying that the effects and composition panels populated at one point, and then on a subsequent boot, those two panels disappeared?

Same here installed from the ppa. It's missing some new dependencies. I'm not 100% sure what actually fixed it, but I installed python3-pyqt5, libqt5multimedia, qml-module-org-kde-kcm among several others that got dragged in. After that everything worked perfectly.

Installing qml-module-org-kde-kcm fixed it for me! Thanks so much for the tip, not sure I ever would have found that specific package otherwise...

I only installed the so called qml-module-org-kde-kcm dependency and solved my white panels. If you search on google quoted messages you can find the original post on reddit.

Many thanks. After installing qml-module-org-kde-kcm it worked for me as well.

For all the beginners or kdenlive-only-users this is the way to do it on LINUX:
1. open Terminal
2. type sudo apt-get update
3. enter your password (it's blind enty, you won't see your entry, that's correct)
4. enter, after a short wait, sudo apt-get install qml-module-org-kde-kcm
5. after installation open kdenlive and everything should be as it should be
