this is for a friend of mine who has got exactly the same configuration like me (no bug at my machine) but his music is on a windows drive mountet with
ntfs-3g locale=de_DE.utf8,user,auto,umask=000 0 0

the scan progressbar stays at 0% nothing happens..

he runs kubuntu amarok2 from ppa.launchpad and kde4.2 from kubuntu-experimental


is there something wrong with his mount options ?

When I have problems with Amarok 2 I usually wipeout its configuration and then the database if I still have problems, which normally solves the problem ( configuration is usually the culprit )

Are there any special characters ( Non-ASCII ) in the path to the drive or files on it?

so.. he deleted all config files and the scan prozess started.. it was slow but it started.. amarok crashed at 60% and restartet scanning after application restart.. and finished!
