i just installed the new kubuntu 904 and tested it on my old laptop.. compositing is much slower than before.. (before 9.04 there was kubuntu 8.10 on the laptop - also with kde4.2.2 ) so it is a very similar installation now but definetly slower than before.. can anyone tell me why and give me some tips to speed up the desktop a little?
