Mon May 11, 2009 6:22 pm
So sorry about my english.

Kubuntu 9.04 clear install.
KDE 4.2.3
CPU: Clereron D 2.6
RAM: 1,5 Gb
Video: GF 7300 Le.

Desktop: i place 2 icon plasmoid.
Widgets NOT locked

1. Install kaffeine and xine.
2. Run video in kaffeine
3. move mouse betwen 2 icons. mouse hover icon => video lagging in kaffeine

Lock Widgets.
Mouse Over => video NOT laggig.

I try in Dragon Player, mplayer and have same result.
I try 180.44 and nv driver with same result.
I try Enebled/Desabled effects with same result.

Any popup messages => video lagging.

Eny tips?

download latest mplayer, unfortunately it is not in jaunty repositories, find it in ppa. And then in mplayer's Video preferences select 'vdpau' output instead of 'xv'.
That should help a bit.

Thx a lot.
Yes. It has a little helped.

I have made experiment
run top
and watch.

When mouse hover plasmoid => X + plasma = 90% CPU USAGE

I remove ALL widgets and panles.
Place 1 icon-plasmoid. And have same result.
