I usually get frustrated when I open the settings of an application that somehow uses audio and find no settings for it. Yes, there are system wide settings, but I want to be able to control pr. application.
Today I installed an application that I had wanted to take a look at for some time - Traverso DAW - http://traverso-daw.org/ It has what must be the most intuitive and functional settings for audio devices I have seen so far in the Linux world. I just wish other application would look at it and follow their example. No, the application is not perfect - far from it. But they got something very basic correct. And they deserve applaus for that!

Hi Oceanwatcher!
Not sure what this has to do with audio settings - instead this looks more like an audacity clone which in itself is a fantastic programme if you need to do podcasts, radio, cutting audio, you name it

Actually, if you read the post, I am pointing to a specific part of the application, the part where you configure your audio device. And I just wish that every application that uses audio - take Kopete as an example - would add these settings
