i am KDE 4.2.2 user and i bought a headphone with a microphone. I want to set up the microphone for general use . I looked at the configuration of KDE → multimedia but i did nt find an option for the microphone. How can i configure it ? It will be possible to listen from my speakers directly when i speak from the microphone ?

In short: yes, it is possible although beware of feedback. Whenever I do anything with my audio stuff I use audacity or kmix to play around with settings. Sounds like you are after using kmix.

inside audacity i increased the volum of the input and output and now i can use the micro in the kde enviroment ( it communicates directly with the speakers)
so the problem was that the volume was very low. I ve verified in kmiw and nothing was changed, so the settings inside audacity does nt exist in kmix. It woud be usefull a tool for the micro in the kde config settings / kmix settings (like audacity with graphical volume tools) |
