Phonon can't see my USB sound card

Mesa Virga Registered Member Posts 11 Karma 0 OS	Phonon can't see my USB sound card Fri Jun 12, 2009 8:00 pm I have started testing KDE 4.2 to see if it can drag me away from my long term Fluxbox use, and so far it's going well with just a few hitches. I have several audio devices for playback: * Soundblaster (PCI) under emu10k1 as card 0 * On-board Intel under hda-intel as card 1 * USB Tascam US-122 as card 2 * There's also a web cam microphone at card 3 but that's not relevant in this case. Under the sound settings for KDE, which I assume is hooking phonon, it can see the Soundblaster, the Intel card and will even connect to JACK if I have it running. It won't see the USB card however so I can't choose to use that for output. As a workaround I'm using JACK connected to the USB card but this isn't really the way I want to run if I can go direct to the card. Can anyone suggest a fix for this? Thanks for any pointers, Matt.
