kaffeine and mp3

Mon Oct 19, 2009 7:25 am
It's a new system.Installed now.
No multimedia packages are installed.
To play only .mp3 files with kaffeine which plugins are necessary to be installed?

Is it anything with gstreamer ?

It depends on what backend you wish to use.

For Xine, simply install the FFMpeg Xine plugin, which will enable support for virtually all formats.

For GStreamer, installing the appropriate MP3 plugin for GStreamer should be sufficient.

Using openSUSE now.
What's the plugin for ffmpeg?
Is it ffmpeg-xine?

That certainly sounds like that package in question.

If you do not wish to use Pulseaudio, make sure to remove "libflashsupport" and "libxine-pulse"
