Restoring "forgotten" devices, i.e. my sound card

Hi,

I had my sound card (SBlive value) installed and working properly under KDE, then I removed the sound card to put in another machine and told KDE to (when prompted) to forget about the devices associated with it.

I have now re-installed the sound card back in the PC and it doesn't appear under "System Settings -> Multimedia". It's as if KDE won't recogonise it because it was previously told to forget about it.

So my question is: How do you get KDE to "un-forget" about devices it has flagged as forgotten?

Try running this, and re-login:
Code: Select all
rm -i $(kde4-config --localprefix)/share/config/phonondevicesrc

Thanks very much, that worked a treat!

Cheers,
Jamie.
