My Sound board dectected by the kernel is 00:14.2 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc SBx00 Azalia (Intel HDA)

Now, recording/playback is fine except I can't here it through the speakers. all volume sliders are up. It's a L305D-S59222 laptop with a builtin MIC. It worked fine for pre 4.3. Have there been changes in KDE to have disabled this feature? If I'm to vague, please ask. It's not an error at least I don't think so and sounds work perfectly. I would appreciate any info you can share, thank you

Have you checked that a channel hasn't been muted ( some channels are hidden by KMix by default )
Open KMix. Right click on empty area, select Channels. Make sure all are dragged over to visible ( or checked ).
