Sound works on gnome but not kde 4

Mmarzex Registered Member Posts 3 Karma 0	Sound works on gnome but not kde 4 Thu Jan 07, 2010 9:40 pm I have ubuntu 9.10 64bit installed and gnome sound works wonderfully but in kde which I would really like to switch to however sound doesn't work it gives me errors saying that playback device HDA ATI SB (STAC92xx Analog) is not working I have no idea what could be causing this problem.

Which backend are you using? GStreamer works better than Xine with Pulseaudio. System Settings > General > Multimedia. KDE Sysadmin [img]content/bcooksley_sig.png[/img]
