Hi!
I'm developing a player using the Phono, but when I run calls him get the message: Unable to use the Xine Multimedia Backend: The shared library was not found. It also happens with Gstreamer and only for more information Amarok runs normally. My system: kubuntu 9.10 x64 How do I fix this? Thank's. |

You need to install the phonon-backend-xine and phonon-backend-gstreamer packages. The you can choose which backend to use in the System Settings -> Multimedia -> backend tab.
FWIW, I erased the comment from the other person since it's sole purpose was to spam the forum.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Ok, but I've installed both the gstreamer and xine as the same problem keeps happening, but despite the message the program plays the audio.
Thx Mamarok! |
