Problem With Phonon

Thu Apr 08, 2010 7:55 pm
Hi!

I'm developing a player using the Phono, but when I run calls him get the message:

Unable to use the Xine Multimedia Backend: The shared library was not found.

It also happens with Gstreamer and only for more information Amarok runs normally.

My system: kubuntu 9.10 x64

How do I fix this?

Thank's.

You need to install the phonon-backend-xine and phonon-backend-gstreamer packages. The you can choose which backend to use in the System Settings -> Multimedia -> backend tab.

FWIW, I erased the comment from the other person since it's sole purpose was to spam the forum.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

Ok, but I've installed both the gstreamer and xine as the same problem keeps happening, but despite the message the program plays the audio.

Thx Mamarok!
