Hi,
as I recently updated from KDE SC 4.4 Beta to KDE SC 4.4.2, I wanted reconfigure phonon to use my analog sound output instead of my IEC958 digital output. But when I opened the systemsettings to configure my device there were just listed the "Internes Audio Digital Stereo (IEC958)" (my language is german) and in gray an entry called "Dummy Ausgabe". All the other outputs are vanished. So I tried to reconfigure my sound card with alsa, which didn't achieve any difference. I also deleted my .kde/share/config/phonondevicesrc and restarted KDE. After starting the systemsettings again, there was a new file with the following content:
It seems that it also includes/recognizes my other output, but why aren't they shown in the systemsettings? Is there any other way to configure phonon, e.g. from command-line or with a config file? Thanks for your help, Click |

Do you have Pulseaudio installed? KDE 4.4 features Pulseaudio integration in Phonon which may be causing issues here.
