I was looking through the multimedia apps at KDE.org; trying to find a KDE multimedia app (other than Amarok - we don't get along so well ). I'm using mplayer with the smplayer frontend, and it works very well. Just want to show some more KDE love. So is Kplayer still supported in KDE 4.4.3? I'm sure I've seen it in the Kubuntu repos, but am interested in finding out if it still works in the latest KDE environment.

you could try kmplayer as it's seems to be an active project (unlike kplayer)

Thank you. I'll look for it in the repos tonight and see which version is there. If not, I'll grab the source for 0.11 and go with it that way.

Version 0.11.2a is in the Kubuntu repos. I pulled down, fired it up, set my favorite streams, and am now listening to my favorite tunes. Life is good. Thank you very much for the pointer.
