I'm still using 8.04 kubuntu because I simple cant find a true player to all formats.
In hardy I use totem-xine and kaffeine 0.8 everything is ok but I need update, so I need its works
I try to use kubuntu 10,4 but I cant make Kaffeine or dragon works with phonon.
the color balance not works and I cant play rmvb
I copied my xine.conf of hady and put in phonon-xine.xine.config but doesnt work.
All codecs had installed.
And if I enable compiz the screen turns invisible in all players but xine-ui
VLC is bad to me with .rmvb ( tooo slow )
Totem-xine is dead in lucid ( but if installed from jauny the color balance works but show error in rmvb )
I think in windows again. ??!!%%@#!!
Please help

You have 2 additional options for rmvb - mPlayer (I prefer the sMplayer gui) and RealPlayer (proprietary but free). RealPlayer is the author of this particular codec http://www.real.com/realplayer/linux so it might be your best solution for rmvb.

In hardy I don't need realplayer so in Lucid I should not need, but thanks
