Hello there,

I just connected my old logitech usb headset to my laptop ... working fine so far, only problem is: when I use the built-in hardware control of the headset to change the speaker volume ... volume wont change. So I opened kmixer ... and what I see is: when I press the buttons ... the volume slider for the built-in laptop speaker is moving.

So - sound is coming from the headset speakers, but the headset control buttons do control the volume of my laptop speakers. Huh?

I disabled the laptop internal audio; then the internal audio volume wouldnt show up any more in kmixer ... but I was still not able to change the volume settings for the headset - using the headset controls.
Any other idea?

Stupid me. kmixer -> set master channel does the trick.
