A few weeks ago, I started having issues with KMix. I used to be able to press the volume up/down hotkeys on my keyboard to alter the volume, but now there's a 5 minute pause between me hitting the volume hotkey and KMix responding. KMix' tray icon is blank and if I do killall kmix; kmix the icon disappears completely.

Is this a known issue? I'm using KDE 4.6.0 on openSUSE 11.4. I can still alter my volume with alsamixer without a problem, but it's very inconvenient.

Please close KMix, ensure it isn't running still, then remove ~/.kde4/share/apps/kmix.
