running Kubuntu 11.04x64
I've tried opening flv, avi and 3gp files but have no audio output for playback or when exporting edited clips. Under preferences -> Audio: The AudioDevice is set to "Dummy" but changing it to PulseAudioS, Alsa, Oss, Jack, Esd or Sdl makes no difference. But whenever I shutdown the program and restart it, AudioDevice always gets reset to "Dummy". I can change the Local Playback Downmixing between "ProLogic", "Stereo" and "No Downmixing" without the option being reset at application restart (but I cannot choose "ProLogic II"; I just choose "ProLogic II" click "ok" and than go back to Preferences and the option is reset to "ProLogic" before the application is even restarted). I can also change the Video Display Settings between "X11", "OpenGL" and "XVideo". But none of these options makes a difference in the audio output of any file that I open or re-encode with Avidemux. I would very much appreciate any help that can be provided. Thank You. |
