Hi all,
after an update, amarok plays at extreme low volume. Does anybody have an idea why? Here are some remarks: - master volume is at maximum - amarok volume is at maximum - kmplayer, vlc, ... play ok - keffeine has the same problem as amarok ... it looks like it is a problem of KDE OS: OpenSUSE 11.6 (64bit) KDE: 4.6.4 Amarok: 2.4.1 Amarok backend: VLC (btw. what backend is the best to use?) Thanks in advance for any tips. fli. |

Did you try the phonon-backend-gstreamer to see if there is a difference? Also please check the KMix and Pulseaudio settings.
I move this thread to KDE multimedia, as it is not Amarok related.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

You should check all channels, as well as volume channels in Pulseaudio.

It seems that the problem is in OpenSUSE because KDE uses PCM channels and because after each restart volume of all PCM channels is set to almost 0.
