I've downloaded an Amarok spin-off application called Tomahawk. It's a playlist generator / music file player with the Echo Nest API. It also uses Phonon IP in its back-end.
I'm running Windows Vista but my music files are FLAC and AAC. Tomahawk reads FLAC files no problem, but it can't "see" the AAC files. The lead developer on the Tomahawk board says he's working on a fix, but it's been 2+ weeks and I think he's busy with other initiatives. Here's the link to my Tomahawk board post: http://forum.tomahawk-player.org/viewto ... ?f=5&t=450 So, I did some digging and it's not so uncommon that AAC files go unseen on Windows OE. Can this issue be resolved with a Phonon plug-in of some kind? I'm not a coder, although I'm a have decent SQL statement writer within the realm of healthcare data analytics. Any ideas, I'd like to be part of the solution and not a needy end-user. Thx- fanner71 |

We've actually fixed that in the upcoming 0.2.0 release (available tomorrow).
