I'm setting up a new computer with Debian Testing and KDE 4 and I cannot get Phonon's sound working. However I can play fine with other programs such as VLC.
My machine has two cards, an Creative Audigy and an internal soundcard I've disabled in the BIOS. cat /proc/asound/cards
aplay -l
Phonon's Backend is VLC (version 0.4.1) Under Phonon's Device Prefrences I can see two copies of "Internal Audio Analog Stereo" one of which is greyed out. I can also see SB Audigy 1 [SB0090] (ADC Capture/Standard PCM Playback) but this only appears under Capture Devices. So, any suggestions? |

Do you use pulseaudio?
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
