LabPlot in Fedora 17 KDE

Mon Mar 04, 2013 10:14 pm
I will be mentioning here my installation for the KDE forum/bulletin board my nascent experience
with LabPlot in Linux Fedora.

LabPlot is a free software and cross-platform computer program for interactive scientific graphing and data analysis,
written for the KDE desktop. It is similar to Origin and is able to import Origin's data files.

LabPlot was initiated by Stefan Gerlach, a scientist and IT administrator in the faculty of
Fachbereich Physik, Universität Konstanz in Germany (Dept of Physics at the University of Konstanz).

Stable release is reported as LabPlot 1.6.0.3 of 25 January 2012.

There you have it . . . stable release of LabPlot in Fedora 17.

It will not be until later this evening at the earliest that I will test the LabPlot install in Fedora 18 KDE.
Since F 18 features KDE 4.9.5 with Linux kernel 3.6.10 - which btw gets updated to Linux kernel 3.7.2 on first update,
I am seeing only good things with LabPlot and Fedora.

Thank you Professor Gerlach and the development teams around the world working now on Fedora 19 -
keep up the great job guys and gals!

Good luck everybuddy.

Hi everyone,

there is a new Wiki to support the development of LabPlot-2.x/SciDAVis at https://apps.sourceforge.net/mediawiki/labplot/index.php?title=Main_Page.
Since LabPlot 2.x is currently in alpha state, some things may be interesting for developers only.

Greetings,
Stefan Gerlach
