I just migrated to a new install of Gentoo using KDE 4.2.2 from my old install on another hard drive. And I can't get Kate to autoindent new lines. It worked on my old hard drive, so I copied the config files in ~/.kde4/share/config/kate*, and it still won't work.
When I press enter on a line of code that is already indented a couple of levels, it puts the cursor back at the very beginning of the line, and not the indentation level of the last line. Is there some way to fix this, or is this a bug I should report? The only difference I'm away of between this hard drive and the old one is this new has KDE 4.2.2, and the other has 4.2.1. |

* bcooksley didn't know Kate could do this.
In Trunk, I simply had to set Settings > Configure Kate > Editor Component > Editing > Indentation > Default Indentation mode to "Normal". Note that you will need to recreate any sessions completely anew for the default to come into effect.

Oh setting it to normal worked. I had it on Cstyle, and it wasn't working. That's what I had it set as on my old hard drive, which worked...
