Derived field manipulation

Tue Jan 29, 2013 5:15 pm
I have a database of circuit diagrams (Jpeg). I am using an image field to display them, (PCB) and a derived field to display their location, (%{PCB}). This gives the full path name i.e. file:///home/ect./name.jpg.
I would like to be able to use a function like mid() or right() to pick out just the name.
Is this possible?
Thank you.

No, unfortunately, I've not implemented any functions like that for the field values.

But are the image locations such that you could enter the name and then use the image and location fields as derived values? So you could set the location to file:///home/ect./%{name}.jpg
