Hello,
I want to import many movies - to simplify the task I wanted to just import a csv with "title", "year" or with "imdb-id/url" and have tellico fetch the information automatically with the "Update Entry -> ImDB" option. The Problem I have is, that tellico searches only with the title-field. This results in many duplicates and requires me to manually fill in which movie I meant + slows the process down because it has to fetch the webpages for alle duplicates. My Question is: Is it possible to configure which fields tellico should use when performing an update? Thank you very much in advance. PS: Also this question is kind of related to viewtopic.php?f=200&t=100785 - but watchlist doesn't contain all fields so I want to have update-entry work. |

Ok after some searching I found a solution to my problem.
As solution it is now only required to import the imdb-url to the "imdb link" field which exists as soon as one has done a "update entry". My fix was to add the imdb-field to the comparison of sameEntry.. also it must reset the hostname because imdb-search is always done with a different host.

Thanks for the patch. I'll get it integrated and committed. I think you probably noticed that if there's an imdb link for the entry already, the update entry will just grab that link directly to update all the data. Like you pointed out, that IMDB link field only gets created after the first imdb result is added to the collection and if that option is selected in the fetch options. Thanks for contributing to Tellico! |
