One of my pet peeves about Tellico (and remember, you don't complain about a thing that means nothing to you
![]() Say I arrange my data by a field, Genre, which is how I have my collection physically arranged. What happens is, within each subset of data - in this case genres, my albums are now arranged by album title instead of by artist. Heh, is this a thing somewhere? ![]() In any case, can I change this? When I have my stuff selected by a field I want them still arranged by stuff title, in my case, album title. In the image, look to the left in the column, I have data arranged by genre - Blues, and you can see they are listed by album title. see the image: http://spinemup.com/images/bytitle.png I didn't compile Tellico on my system, it's a deb (jessie) package. |

Issit cool that I answer my own post?
I did see where I can have items grouped by genre, and the listing on the left is by album title, but on the right, at bottom, where the album covers show up, I can choose to sort those by artist and then export to an html file only those selected. It works to where I get my list, by genre, arranged by artist and then title. So, there is that. |

Tellico won't sort that way in the grouping area on the left, but in the column view, it does use secondary and tertiary sort keys. If you wanted to sort by Genre, then artist, then title, click on those columns in reverse order. In other words, click to sort by title, then click the artist column, then click the genre column. Then, within the same genre, they are sorted by artist and within the same genre/artist, they're sorted by title. Then you can print that view. Does that help? |

Yep. Heh, I use column headers all the time like that, but sequentially, and 'holding' the previous click-arrangement. That's cool. I'm trying that everywhere!
