Hello world citizens,
I am setting up this good application for my collection of educational material.
Maybe someone can direct me to a software more suitable for cataloging educational stuff, but I have my reasons :
1° I can make do without full text search, because I need to crunch the texts in text analysis software anyway.
2° I like the looks and simplicity of Tellico. Other "full blown" software have already sunk too much of my time and efforts to make me appreciate that. Tellico is easy to grasp and adaptable without too much tinkering.
3° Obviously, one key feature for me is interoperability and field customization. It allows me to adapt to the trends in my trades, be they changes in terminology or whole new focuses.

Still, I think I am gonna lose some advanced search features relationaldb softwares offer. As I can't find traces of that question on the forum or in the manual, I guess the answer is obvious to nearly each and every user. I only hope it's not "you just can't" or "typing like crazy for each new entry" :

How can I filter all the entries with a note greater than 3 ?
1st guess : save a search filter for all notes =4 and all notes = 5
2nd guess : there's a workaround with a field type that allows multiple values
How can I filter all the entries with a number greater than 12 but lesser than 25 ?

edit : maybe something to do with cross-checking and saved filters ?

I haven't implemented greater than or less than yet. But you could do the notes=4 easily enough, with the saved filters.

I'll add those other two filter rules for the next version.

Thank you. I will wait for the < > functionality, and in the meantime I will use the "=4 & =5" way.
