I looked in the documentation, faq, and on the internet for how to edit the loanee information, but couldn't find anything. I can't find anything obvious in the GUI, either. Let's say I loan out a book to "sue <sue@cmcast.net>" and realize later that I had a typo in the email address. how do I go back and correct the mistake?

There's no way to edit it directly right now. The only option is to check-in the item and redo the loan.
