Some Data Sources Not Working

Thu Sep 08, 2016 10:29 am
Hello I am trying to use this to manage my game collection, but I have noticed that some of the search sources are not working. I cant get any of the amazon searches to work nothing ever turns up, not sure whats going on here.
Also is it possible to create a data source for https://www.pricecharting.com/ ?

Thanks :)

Amazon worked previously for you? Have you verified you have your Amazon API key in the data source settings? Are there other sources which are not working?

Definitely possible, I can add it to my list to look at.

Thank you for your prompt response. Unfortunately I have never been able to get it to work. Typically searches with Amazon return nothing. I created a new user in Amazon and copied both keys so I'm pretty sure I did it correctly. Gamespot works but does not always have title.

Thank you for considering adding https://www.pricecharting.com as a data source.

Hi,

I have installed 3.0 (beta 2)

For comic books, is it possible to add the comicbookdatabase? (comicbookdb.com)

The GCstar plugin does not work if you select Comic Book DB, nothing comes back from a search.

And also, will get this error:

GCstar - Comic Book DB: Unescaped left brace in regex is deprecated, passed through in regex; marked by <-- HERE in m/^\s{ <-- HERE 2,/ at /usr/bin/../share/gcstar/lib/GCPlugins/GCboardgames/GCReservoirJeux.pm line 202.

GCstar - Comic Book DB: Unescaped left brace in regex is deprecated, passed through in regex; marked by <-- HERE in m/^\s{ <-- HERE 2,/ at /usr/bin/../share/gcstar/lib/GCPlugins/GCboardgames/GCtrictrac.pm line 243.

Thanks!

I'll take a look at it.

GCStar is not actively developed recently, I don't believe. And this is apparently a problem with the GCStar plugin, so nothing related to Tellico, unfortunately. I think it's just noto going to work.

It won't be anytime soon. The limited time I spend with Tellico is spent trying to get version 3.0 out at the moment.

I took a look at this - it's a video game marketplace, right? Some of the links have titles and genre, maybe year. That's the data you would like to read? By itself, it seems rather sparse.

Mainly for pricing it has its own API and its what most collectors use for game info and values.
