Export can't write images

Wed Jan 17, 2018 4:58 pm
Hi. Whenever I try to export the data from my book collection, I receive an error that the book-cover images are not writable. I can see the images in Tellico and I can write to the export folder. The output is correct, however, there are no images. Basically, I can't create a back with images.

I'm unsure how to proceed. Any tips to debug or ideas?

A few quick questions: what version of Tellico? What kind of export (zip, xml, html, etc...)? Have you tried other folders to export to? Are there any warning messages if you run from the command line?

Hi. I'm running v. 3.0.2 on Plasma 5.11.3, Kubuntu 17.10.

The issue may be specific to exporting to GCStar format. I'll try running it from Command Line tonight.

Thanks for the response!

Hi. So I ran Tellico from the command line and I received this additional error:

Code: Select all
kf5.kio.core: KSambaShare: Could not find smb.conf!

It seems unrelated and it occurs only when first opening the filename/extension dialog the first time.

Also, none of the other formats seem to move or create images when exported.

Thanks for the additional information. I'm still scratching my head. If the issue is independent of the export type AND you're able to save a Tellico file to the same directory but not export it, I'm not really sure what's going on. I'll poke around in the code a bit more and see if anything jumps out at me.
