Using Tellico 3.2.1 on Kubuntu 19.10 (with updates to 10/27/2019).

Previous behaviour:

When entering a new book it would show up in the entry area after clicking on "Save Entry".

Current behaviour:

When entering a new book it shows whatever was in the entry area last, even if it was blank.

Is this a design choice or is this something to do with Plasma/KDE in 19.10?

Ideally it would show the last edited book in the entry area and highlight it in the Collection View so you could get back to it immediately if needed.

If I understand you correctly, that's a regression that'll be fixed in 3.2.2
