since i upgraded to Fedora 31, i can't search internet movies databases anymore

First,
sorry to answer so late.
I discovered that i was missing a dependency which didn't install automatically.
I noticed it when tried to compile it (viewtopic.php?f=200&t=139389)
I don't remember which one...

About your question, all search engines were very very slow and those which would give answers wouldn't show details (imdb)
