I recently upgraded to MacOS Monterrey and upgraded my MacPorts installation, including Tellico. Tellico on MacPorts is 2.3.12. Unfortunately, now when I try to search on a book in Google Books, I get the following error: "Could not connect to host www.googleapis.com: SSL negotiation failed." I do have a registration for Google Books that the data source options says you need and I have successfully used that a Fedora Linux setup.
At the end of this message, I've pasted the terminal messages when I run tellico in a terminal. I'm uncertain whether this is a tellico issue or a macports ssl issue. If I paste the string that tellico sends in a browser, I do get a response. At this point, I'm out of my depth. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to proceed. Thanks. ======================== Here are the terminal messages from the point where I do a search - in this case for a word in the title: tellico(89900)/kio (Scheduler) KIO::SchedulerPrivate::doJob: KIO::SimpleJob(0x60000019b400) tellico(89900)/kio (Scheduler) *KIO::SchedulerPrivate::protoQ: creating ProtoQueue instance for "https" tellico(89900)/kio (Scheduler) KIO::ProtoQueue::ProtoQueue: m_maxConnectionsTotal: 20 m_maxConnectionsPerHost: 5 tellico(89900)/kio (Slave) *KIO::Slave::createSlave: createSlave "https" for KUrl("https://www.googleapis.com/books/v1/volumes?maxResults=20&startIndex=0&printType=books&key=AIzaSyDAkMhR_wAsyf5K0Gpi-H_SsLAh3Gi_tKM&q=intitle%3Avenus") tellico(89900)/kio (KIOConnection) KIO::ConnectionServer::listenForRemote: Listening on "local:/private/var/folders/0q/vht1d2px4bs3kkf55m1ty8fm0000gn/T/ksocket-harry/tellicod89900.slave-socket" tellico(89900)/kio (KIOJob) KIO::SlaveInterface::dispatch: error 123 "www.googleapis.com: SSL negotiation failed" tellico(89900)/kio (KIOJob) KIO::TransferJob::slotFinished: KUrl("https://www.googleapis.com/books/v1/volumes?maxResults=20&startIndex=0&printType=books&key=AIzaSyDAkMhR_wAsyf5K0Gpi-H_SsLAh3Gi_tKM&q=intitle%3Avenus") tellico(89900)/kio (Scheduler) KIO::SchedulerPrivate::jobFinished: KIO::StoredTransferJob(0x60000019b400) KIO::Slave(0x600000194740) tellico(89900): Couldn't start knotify from knotify4.desktop: "Could not find service 'knotify4.desktop'." tellico(89900)/kdeui (KNotification) KNotification::slotReceivedIdError: Error while contacting notify daemon "The name org.kde.knotify was not provided by any .service files" 2021-11-27 10:46:24.265 tellico[89900:3196685] modalSession has been exited prematurely - check for a reentrant call to endModalSession: tellico(89900)/kio (Slave) KIO::Slave::kill: killing slave pid 89906 ( "file://" ) tellico(89900)/kio (Slave) KIO::Slave::kill: killing slave pid 89905 ( "file://" ) tellico(89900)/kio (Slave) KIO::Slave::kill: killing slave pid 89904 ( "file://" ) tellico(89900)/kio (Slave) KIO::Slave::kill: killing slave pid 89903 ( "file://" ) tellico(89900)/kio (Slave) KIO::Slave::kill: killing slave pid 89922 ( "https://www.googleapis.com" ) |

I'm sorry. Personally, I'm not sure what to suggest. KDE4 and Tellico 2.3 is fairly old, I'm not sure what part of the MacPorts install might have changed the SSL configuration. |
