Hello,
I had a Kubuntu (v20.04LTS) platform running Tellico. Tellico used tellico files located on a MS-Windows 10 platform via SMB and all was OK. Unfortunately my Kubuntu platform collapsed (strong hardware problem) so I had to put in place a new platform to install a fresh Kubuntu (version 22.04LTS with KDE 5.92). I installed the last Tellico version 3.4.4. I have big issue now as Tellico open the tellico file but I can't save it as it says me : "cannot delete the file" then "Tellico cannot write into the file tc~" (note: free translation as I am running in French). But I can "save as" the file. Other point, pictures of covers are not displayed. Frankly I don't know why all was running fine previously and no more with my new install. As I didn't change anything on the Windows 10 ,parts I think that the problem is not on the Windows side. I don't know neither if it is a tellico problem or an Ubuntu problem... All ideas are welcome. Best regards |

Are you sure there's not a write permissions issue for your SMB share?
Did the file path of your photos change? |

Hello,
Yes I'm sure that that permissions are OK. In fact only the Ubuntu part has been changed when I installed my new PC. To be sure I had create a file on the share vis Dolphin whiteout an,y problem and also I used Kate to edit, modify and save this file. The path to the photo has not been changed. Additional information: As I have seen that a Windows version was available, I tried it on my Windows PC (which hosts Tellico files) without any problem ... Best regards |

Hmm, yeah, that has me stumped if you can modify the ~ file with Kate but not Tellico. They use some of the same underlying libraries.
The only other thing I can think of at the moment is somehow the setting for the image location got changed? Maybe you could confirm that? |
