Tried to make sure I was posting in the right KDE forum. When assigning an image to a collection entry, I choose an image saved in my home directory. I have searched a bit and cannot find where Tellico stores these images. I assume it doesn't form a link to the file but rather copies the images to store somewhere in a Tellico data or file directory. The application itself has 3 options for images, store in data file, common application directory, or a directory relative to data file. The 1st, data file is default but where would that be exactly? Thanks, sorry if this is a daft question.

Until you save the file, the images are held in memory or in a temporary file. Once you save the Tellico file, (which has a .tc extension), the images are saved in that file if the setting value is for "data file". And you can save that file anywhere you want.

The application directory is $KDEHOME/share/apps/tellico/data/ where $KDEHOME is usually ~/.kde

The relative directory takes the data file name, appends "_files" and creates a new directory in the same place as the data file, and uses that directory for storing images.
